Mathew Ngatia — Revenue & Payments EngineerHi, I'm Mathew Ngatia. Like many people in web development, I started out working across a broad range of web projects. Eventually I found myself drawn to something much more specific: what happens between a customer deciding to buy and a business actually collecting the money.
That led me into payment systems, billing, revenue recovery, integrations, and the infrastructure that keeps those systems connected.
My belief is simple: a business shouldn't lose revenue simply because its systems don't work together.
A payment can fail. A subscription can silently churn. A fraud rule can reject a legitimate customer. A webhook can leave two systems with different versions of reality. A poorly designed recovery flow can turn a temporary payment problem into a permanent customer loss.
My job is to find those problems, understand their financial impact, and build the systems needed to fix them.
I work across payments, billing, fraud, tax, customer communications, CRM, ecommerce, analytics, and the APIs and webhooks that connect them.
